Thanks for the recommendation. I've finished reading the book I mentioned in the post, so I stopped by the library and picked up this book.

Could I recommend 1 more book - The 5 Love Languages.

I think it will really help you both. It basically says that we all speak in a different Love Language and what is important is to speak in the language of the one you love - not your language.

It is easy and flashes like a light bulb when you see it.

Good luck and hold on tight - everyone has times like this.

I hope that over the next six months everything will go good for you and your family. And, I'm looking forward to the day that you post about your wife getting her teacher certification and job.

Not that I'm aware of. Though perhaps the value you received vs. what you paid for was so high that you perceived it as "free".

Yeah, those Festivus poles are cool! My wife won't let us put one up in place of the tree, but there's tons of neat Festivus stuff (including Festivus cards!) at http://www.cafepress.com/hoganstore/1782703 ...I already ordered some Festivus cards that I'm going to send out this year!

Thanks Single Ma for the response. The 15th of August was exactly when the account was funded. I've been waiting to make sure HSBC was trustable before I move my savings from ING to HSBC.

They pay interest based on the day you opened the account, not at the beginning of a new month like everyone else. So if you opened your acct on August 15th, your interest for the month will post on Sept 16th.
