Just, took a little time off. Well, it really was a lot deeper of a reason than that. Life’s been a wee bit rough on our household. I’m hoping to get back in to the swing of things now that the ‘rough stuff’ has leveled out. Besides we’ve had some financial changes over the last month and there are some HUGE ones coming up.

For the most part it’s been a very easy choice, as we were never huge TV watchers to begin with. But there were some shows and channels that I always liked to watch. For example, as a semi-DIYer, I like watching those types of shows on HGTV.

This past weekend I went to the gym for the first time on a Saturday morning, and even though I’ve never watched the TV’s before while I was there, I saw one TV had on HGTV and it was a cool home remodel show. I unplugged from my music player and plugged in to the device that lets me listen to their TV’s and watched this show as I rode the bike. It made me realize that I do miss those type of shows. But I also thought about how I could schedule my time around some shows I might want to see.

I don’t regret the decision one bit, except for tonight. I’m a huge Nascar fan, and unable to watch the best race of the year. I’m sitting here at home with my laptop trying to follow it with Nascar.com’s live leaderboard web application, but it just ain’t the same.

After years of have it crammed with this ‘plastic’, a lot of the pockets are stretched out and now with the few items I have remaining, stuff is always falling out when I open it. Having to replace my wallet because of this is encouraging to me, plus, it’s very nice to slenderer wallet.
