We’ve been buying this Gerber life insurance for our kids since they were born. That means 6 years for one policy and 4 years for two more policies. And I really have no idea why. When we started, my wife said something about it providing money to the kids when they turn 18 or something, but that is all I know, and I don’t even know if that’s true. So every year I write out a check to Gerber for $300+ and I don’t even know why.

Now while listening to Dave the other day, he was answering an email about life insurance for kids, and he basically said avoid certain companies, and specifically named Gerber as one of them to avoid. That’s what got me thinking about it. So I mentioned to my wife that we need to re-look at this subject and learn more about it.

Anyone else have thoughts on the Gerber stuff?
