Hey, Chad I was just reading this section and I DO think that texting can help you. My husband and I have been married 9 years and have had a miserable time for many different reasons. I think learning to read what the other is saying, digest it and respond is what we don't do so well. Listening is difficult when you both are hurt so an out loud conversation my not work right now. My husband and I do that some and it actually makes things not so tense. We can have the same conversation online and understand and hear the other but when we are face to face, our emotions take over. It might help you learn to listen better and respond in a beneficial way.

Thanks for the recommendation. I've finished reading the book I mentioned in the post, so I stopped by the library and picked up this book.

Could I recommend 1 more book - The 5 Love Languages.

I think it will really help you both. It basically says that we all speak in a different Love Language and what is important is to speak in the language of the one you love - not your language.

It is easy and flashes like a light bulb when you see it.

Good luck and hold on tight - everyone has times like this.
