When I first started this blog, I was skeptical about posting details of our total debt. Mainly because of embarrassment of being so deep in debt and most of it being credit card debt. However, as I’ve been reading lots of other debt blogs and listening to Dave Ramsey and all his call-ins, I’m realizing we’re really no different than most Americans, or as Dave would say, we’re normal. The good part is we don’t want to be normal and we’re doing something about it. We no longer want to live pay check to paycheck, we want to start funding for retirement and for our children’s education. We want to pay cash for our next used vehicle.

So I’m starting this little mini-series to post some details of various aspects of our debt, with the conclusion summarizing and totaling all our debts. So follow along if you’re interested.
