We had a rummage sale this weekend and the grand total made was a whopping $153. That was less then we were hoping for considering how much time and labor went in to prepping, running, and cleaning up. But for us, rummage sales aren’t all about make some extra scratch, that’s only a side effect. For us, we usually have 2 sales a year, and it’s all about getting rid of clutter. Our house is short on storage areas, so things tend to cumulate in our basement. So, even though we didn’t make a lot, we got rid of a lot of stuff. And therefore considered it a success.
